I have found this Hofner, and would be very happy, if someone could help me identify it. Model, year.
It does have what appears to be a burn mark on the top, but anyway - it looks nice to me.
Should I drive the 30 miles to take a look?

To my untrained eye the headstock says 1958.
It may look like a 450.
But I'm no expert.

As I recall Hofner introduced the truss rod from 1960, so a little later than you thought. No idea of the model though

If this overview is right, the neck belongs to a Hofner Club:

So, maybe, the guitar has got another neck.
